Character sketch

I drew young Chaz first on my sketch book and slowly move to the expression sheet. I started off with the expression sheet first because I needed more time for turnaround sheet and poses. I have found some reference pictures to help me with the turnaround sheet. When i have sketched it out, I moved it to Procreate to produce the digital version of the character.

Character design inspiration 

Since this character is derived from the Film studies and Cinematography module, the character's name is Chaz and he is a footballer. The story is inspired by my friend, so I have created a character that resembles him. Chaz has grey hair because I think it's too black if the pants is already in black colour, so I was going for a different contrast. He plays for his school team and the jersey is in red so is Chaz.

Progression 2 - Layout Design

I have found this picture from Pinterest and I really liek the contrast created, so I have decided to use this picture as reference.

These are the reference picture I have used to help me draw the bush and green field. For the clouds, I have used the Cloud brush and Blend brush.

So I tried to used different colours to create layers and make the trees have more depth.

Actually I suffered with the net the most because I dont know how to draw, not only for this module but for the animatics as well. 

Feedback: Mr.Kamal told me to add more depth and contrast to the picture. 

Second attempt

After receiving feedback, I seek help from my friends on how to improve the layout, then I added some light and dark shadows to create depth and also the bush in the foreground.

Then, I added my character in and submitted as the final version.
