KEYNOTE: "Building Resilience: How to Bounce Back from Rejections and Setbacks in Your Job Hunt and Early Career" by Ryan Former LINKEDIN Head of Public Sector

In this webinar, I have learnt the importance of resilience. The future path is not going to be straight forward and bright, sometimes it can be bendy and still works out. Building resilience and moving forward in your career is all about a few essential steps. Seek out mentors you admire and don’t hesitate to ask them for advice—they can be invaluable guides. Celebrate the small wins along the way, knowing that each “no” brings you closer to a “yes.” Keep learning through online courses and grow your network by connecting with people in your field. Use tools like ChatGPT to tailor your resume, and be open to short-term gigs; they can be great steppingstones to something permanent. Shift to a growth mindset by staying curious and learning from each experience. Ultimately, resilience means seeing setbacks as chances to adapt, keeping you on track for the next opportunity.

"Mastering Adaptability Skills in a Dynamic Work Culture" by M&C SAATCHI
In today’s world, adapting to change is essential for success. Building adaptability starts with a growth mindset—seeing challenges as chances to learn—and a willingness to pick up new skills, like through online courses or hands-on experiences. It also means staying open to different perspectives and being flexible in how we approach things. As the workplace and world keep shifting, adaptability helps us handle changes with resilience and turn setbacks into steps forward. In the end, it’s our ability to adjust and grow that keeps us moving toward lasting success.
"The Art of Storytelling" by Graph Studio

This seminar on storytelling was one of the most relatable for me because it connects so directly to what I’m doing now. In my work, I constantly need to pitch ideas and convince my lecturers to "buy in," which isn’t easy—especially when ideas get rejected for being too simple or when I struggle to communicate them fully. Today’s seminar emphasized that storytelling in pitching is about truly selling our vision. It’s not just about presenting storyboards or an outline—it’s about inviting clients into the full experience, sparking excitement, and building trust. “Storyselling” means connecting on an emotional level so clients don’t just understand the concept but feel invested in it. This connection can be deepened through details like soundtrack choices, which can powerfully shape the mood and emotions of a story. A persuasive structure is also essential, as it shows clients that we understand their priorities and know how to elevate their ideas. Finally, a compelling treatment balances clarity with creativity, allowing clients to feel the story’s full impact. Altogether, storytelling becomes a way to inspire, persuade, and leave a lasting impression, making clients eager to bring the vision to life.
"Unlocking Potential: Discover Your Flavor" by COCA-COLA
Curiosity is such an important part of growing—it pushes us to ask questions, explore beyond what we studied, and consider new career paths. Reflecting on our mistakes helps us learn, and finding purpose brings a sense of meaning to everything we do. Volunteering for projects gives us valuable experience, and constantly looking for ways to improve keeps us moving forward with a problem-solving mindset. It’s also key to remember not to compare our journey to others; everyone’s path is different. Creating an inclusive environment makes a big difference too. When we feel safe to be ourselves, we’re more willing to take risks, make mistakes, and learn—exactly what we need to really thrive.
“Challenges and Opportunities in the Design Industry" by CULT CREATIVE
Navigating the ups and downs of any career path takes resilience, but it’s also where we learn the most about ourselves. Building a strong network and connecting with people in the industry helps a lot—there’s so much to learn from others, and it opens doors to new opportunities when we need them. Choosing to work with people who share similar values can make a huge difference, too; it makes collaboration smoother and helps build trust.
Stepping out of our comfort zones is key to growth. Trying new things may feel uncomfortable, but that’s often where the best learning happens. Staying curious and passionate keeps us moving forward and makes us stand out. Embracing these values can shape us into more adaptable, inspired professionals ready to take on new challenges.
