Instructions 

Project 1A : Physical Collage 

We were required to collect materials from any source such as cutouts from magazines or newspapers, and images from the internet in order to complete 3 different physical collages. By using the cutout materials, we can compose it in our own story and concept.

For this composition, I made the model the main focus so i put i tin the middle. This composition involved the fashion and poterry aesthetics.

For this composition, everything is kinda messy as a whole, I was just playing around with the materials I had.

This composition is about the fashion aesthetics where all luxury brands are in here. For example: Chanel handbags, Patek Philippe's watch, Christian Dior's perfume.

Project 1B : Digital Collage 

For this project, we were given materials to produce 3 digital collages on our own preferences.

Of all three compositions I have made, I like this the most because of its minimalistic vibe.

This looks like the couple is watching fencers fencing in the television but it is a picture captured. I made it like a scrapbook, using tapes to tape the corners. to form a frame

This one has repetitive of all the materials.

So I have decided to go with these two since Mr.Martin gave me permission to choose the ones that I like. 

Feedback 

Week 3 (14.04.2022)

#2: Mr Martin said that everything is not related, they are there for no reason. Everthing was cramped up in here. 
#3: This is a bit messy and it's better to choose the first or third rather than the second. 

Week 4 (21.04.2022)

#1: This has more strong graphic sense. 
#2: Looks like a frame, it has got sticker also but in terms of composition #1 and #3 has more  composition. 
#3: This is more interesting in terms of space. 

Reflection 

It was kind of messy for me, because it was my first time creating photo collage and I have to admit that I have no graphic sense. I guess I have to dive into Pinterest more frequent to study the design works. The composition of the whole layout is very important in order to catch viewer's attention and be aware of the small elements added in. The focal point and visual hierarchy are extremely important in creating a composition, all of these have to be considered before starting a design work. 

This task is a challenge for me because I have no design background and I have never come across graphic design work. Well, I guess I have to start working on it so I can survive through this semester.
