Week 1
Exercise 1: Quantifying and Visualise Data

For this exercise, we are to quantify items such as buttons, pins, paper clips, or coins and arrange them in a presentable chart or pattern. I have decided to use buttons as the material because I have tons of buttons at home, so I figured I could quantify them and arrange them accordingly.

Fig 1.1 Number of Buttons Collected, Week 2 (15.01.2023)

Here, I have found same design but different in colours buttons. It varies in colour of the button and also the colour of the button lining. Therefore, it can be categorised into 2 groups which would be :
  • Gold or Silver lining
  • Colour of the button

Fig 1.2 Arranging the buttons accordingly, Week 2 (15.01.2023)

I categorised them into either gold or silver lining buttons, then, I grouped the same coloured buttons together.

Fig 1.3 Arranged Small buttons, Week 2 (15.01.2023)

In this picture, I have sorted them accordingly, gold lining button on the left, and the silver lining button on the right. Then, the colours of the button are arranged in a typographical system which is called Axial system, where the information or items are arranged either left or right as if there is an axis in the middle.

Week 2
Exercise 2: L.A.T.C.H
Fig 2.1 Pokemon's details, Week 2 (20.01.2023)

First, I studied pokemon accordingly by categorising their elements, and continued with their locations. Then, I look at their evolution hierarchy. Lastly, I have also recorded their national number.
Fig 2.2 Pokemon map decorating , Week 2 (21.01.2023)

Firstly, I found a great map for this infographic and I decorated them with more clouds around it.

I have categorised all the chosen pokemon according to their elements and evolution hierarchy.

Fig 2.5 Name labelling , Week 2 (20.01.2023)

Here, I am labelling the pokemon's names.

Putting on the pokemon type symbol to indicate their element.

Fig 2.7 Trimming , Week 2 (20.01.2023)

Right here, I have added a label stating the entire infographic is about categorising the pokemons accordingly. I have also added a rainbow in the map to make the map looks more fantasized and wonderful.
